Skylar Sun Sports Badminton Academy (3SBA) - Pearland was established to fill the need for structured badminton training in Pearland, TX. Our dedicated facility offers professional-level coaching and aims to be a leading badminton academy in the USA.
Mission statements
We aim to expand youth sports in Pearland, TX, promote their social benefits, and assist underprivileged children through competitive badminton. Our programs focus on healthy habits, sportsmanship, teamwork, confidence, and concentration.
We provide expert badminton training classes suitable for all ages. Our dedicated coaching team delivers focused, unit-based instruction, and each staff member is carefully chosen to maintain top-quality training standards. We value honest feedback from both students and parents as proof of our dedication. To accommodate different needs, we offer various programs and review applications to ensure every participant is placed appropriately. I started playing badminton in the USA, and it has become my hobby. As a badminton enthusiast, I founded Pearland Sports Academy to introduce more people to the sport and provide training opportunities.
I enjoy seeing our academy students succeed in badminton.
Program Coach - Dang Thai Son (Son); 361-727-5104 (Thinh Mai)
Coach Son began playing badminton in elementary school in 1990 and continues to play today. He has developed his own unique badminton coaching methodology that focuses on footwork, hitting, proper movement, and specialised tactical planning. From 2000 to 2002, he represented the Hochiminh City badminton team and was also selected for the Vietnam youth national team from 2000 to 2001. In addition, he played for the Vietnam national team during 2002 and 2003. Coach Son has coached at Binh Thanh (Hochiminh City, Vietnam), served as Assistant Coach at Kyoto University Badminton Club (Japan), and worked with Nara Prefecture Club (Japan). With 19 years of coaching experience, our academy is proud to have him as our Badminton Director. His extensive experience will help elevate our academy to new heights.
